Conference of Interpreter Trainers Board Meeting

Persons present:  Brian Morrison, Cindy Farnham, Cindy Volk, Carolyn Ball, Myrelis Aponte-Samalot, Leslie Greer, Annette Miner, Suzanne Ehrlich

Absent:  Laura Braucht

The meeting was opened by President, Brian Morrison at 8:00 pm EST.

  1. May 2009 minutes were approved.
  2. Cindy F and Brian will be flying to San Antonio to look at hotels and confirm the conference 2010 dates and location.
  3. Discussion regarding paying a stipend to board members who travel on CIT business.  This is a future agenda item.
  4. Annette stated that CIT is in the process of hiring a copy editor for the journal. The decision was made to have an annual journal and to include a student section in the journal.  The official languages of the journal will be English, ASL and BSL.  The next step is to develop submission guidelines for signed articles.
  5. The next meeting will be Sunday, July 26. Brian will send out a schedule for the rest of the meetings this year.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 pm EST.
