Online Board Meeting
October 21, 2007

Persons present:  Carolyn Ball, Cindy Farnham, Cindy Volk, Doug Bowen-Bailey, Annette Miner, Laura Covell, Kellie Mills Stewart, Leslie Greer

Absent:  Brian Morrison

President, Carolyn Ball called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. CST.

  1. Plans for face-to-face meeting in Puerto Rico:  It was decided to arrive in Puerto Rico on Thursday, Feb 7.  We will meet all day on Feb 8, 9, and 10.  We will leave on Monday, February 11.  Each person needs to arrange their own flights and send the receipt to Cindy F for reimbursement.
  1. Chairpersons for the 2008 convention:  Laura informed the board about the individuals who have indicated an interest in chairing various committees for the convention.  Cindy V (Laura) moved that Anna Witter-Merithew and Leilani Johnson be selected as program chairpersons for the convention. Motion carried.  (B07:10)   Cindy V (Annette) moved that we select Dr. Len Roberson and Dr. Sherry Shaw as co-chairpersons/editors of the proceedings.  Motion carried. (B07:11).  Laura will let the individuals know.  Doug will send out a reminder for the other conference chair positions.  November 15 will be the next deadline.
  1. Discussion about convention chairpersons and waived registration.  For future conventions, we need to ask people who are interested in chairing a committee for a resume and cover letter.
  1. Payment for editing proceedings for 2008 convention:  Cindy V (Laura) moved that we pay the proceedings co-chairs $400 each for the 2008 convention proceedings.  Motion carried. (B07:12)
  1. Interpreters for the 2008 convention:   Carolyn will investigate proposals for the 2008 CIT conference interpretation.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. CST.
